This week
on the East End, News 12's Doug Geed takes a visit at the
Hallockville Museum Farm in
Riverhead.
The museum sits on 28 acres, with 19 historic buildings. It was the Hallock family's homestead. The
1765 house is their original homestead, with additions over the years. And
that's where the last remaining Hallocks lived out their days until the 1970s.
You can walk through the same house where members of
the Hallock family walked centuries ago. And 21st century technology allows you
to "meet" members of the family, virtually. You can take a self-guided tour
that includes interactive stops.
Hallockville is open seven days a week.
