Some East End residents who are sick of noisy choppers could get relief before Memorial Day weekend, but an all-out ban has been dropped.
The East Hampton Town Board will vote next Thursday on curfews and limits on noisy helicopters and planes.
The plan includes a curfew on flights at East Hampton Airport from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., and a curfew for 'noisy aircraft' from 8 p.m. until 9 a.m.
Noisy aircraft would be limited to just one trip per week during the summer season.
