Sony?s new PlayStation 3 doesn?t hit stores in the United States until Friday, but eager fans in Westbury have been waiting in line for three days.
Many Long Islanders set up tents on Tuesday afternoon to make sure they were one of the first to buy the PS3 video game console. The almost $600 machine was released in Japan last week and die-hard U.S. fans are willing to brave the wind and rain to get their hands on it.
Most stores are required to have a minimum of 20 systems, but everyone is not guaranteed a purchase. The Best Buy manager in Westbury believes that everyone on line since Thursday morning should be able to buy it.
