Investigators say an East Patchogue chiropractor is being questioned in connection to a celebrity steroid peddling scandal.
State health officials have been talking to Dr. Michael Diamond, also an anti-age consultant for celebrities, as part of an Albany County investigation. Authorities say Diamond?s name appeared in files at the Florida pharmacy at the center of the probe.
Music artists Wyclef Jean, Mary J. Blige and 50 Cent have been named in the investigation as well.
Diamond?s attorney, Robert Macedonio, says his client has never prescribed or injected any kind of steroids into anybody and is not a target of the investigation. He goes further and says Diamond cannot legally write prescriptions as a chiropractor.
At this point neither Diamond nor any of the celebrities named have been accused of any wrongdoing.
