The New York baseball legend Dwight Gooden teamed up with the Suffolk Police Asian Jade Society to host the Charity 8-Ball Classic at Goodfellas Billiards and Bar in Selden.
The event raised funds for Paws of War, an organization that provides service and companion dogs to disabled veterans, first responders and Gold Star families.
“It means so much. We love to give back to our veterans or any veterans within law enforcement. That's what my organization is all about,” said Edwin Hugh of the Suffolk County Police Asian Jade Society.
