Trevor Bauer's time on Long Island has come to an end.
The controversial Ducks pitcher has signed with Diablos Rojos del México of the Mexican League, the team announced Monday.
The right-hander joined the Atlantic League organization this spring, after being suspended by Major League Baseball 5 years ago amid sexual assault allegations, though he was never criminally charged.
Bauer dominated on the mound in his seven starts as a Duck, most of which were to a sellout crowd.
As News 12 reported, the former Cy Young Award winner set the franchise record with a 15-strikeout game in May and also threw a no-hitter in April.
“I want to thank the Long Island Ducks organization for giving me the opportunity to be part of the team,” Bauer said. “I’d also like to thank my teammates, the coaching staff, the clubhouse staff, and everyone behind the scenes who made my time here so enjoyable.”
The transaction marks the fifth player from the team to have his contract transferred in 2026, according to the organization.
