WHAT'S NOW: Breezy winds will slowly back down through the evening hours tonight and into tomorrow morning.

WHAT'S NEW: The weekend is not looking so great. A storm system is forecast to move up the coast from the offshore Southeast waters. It will bring rain, wind and rough surf to Long Island for Saturday with another one to follow for Sunday. It is too far out to talk about exact timing, amounts and local impacts, but in general, expect the weekend to look dismal.

WHAT'S NEXT: Before wacky weather arrives for the weekend, embrace this glorious stretch of weather through the rest of the work week! This includes the *Pick of the Week* arriving Wednesday. Low levels of humidity, lots of fair skies, with a light breeze will be around through much of the work week except for Friday. That is where the cloud cover will slowly thicken up through the day as that system mentioned earlier slides up the coast.
