Drivers urged to use caution on slippery roadways
Roadways across Long Island could become slippery as the snowfall continues and the temperatures cool later.
Officials were advising Long Islanders to get out early to run any errands before conditions worsen.
Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone says that crews are ready to hit the streets once the snow started to accumulate on the roads.
Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino says that his crews will be going on the roads once there is 1 inch of accumulation.
