Police are searching for the driver who took off after a deadly crash in Hempstead.
A Hewlett man was killed when he was hit by two cars around 6:30 p.m. last night.
Police say John Santopolo was trying to cross Peninsula Boulevard near South Franklin Street.
According to police, one car stopped and that driver is not charged.
