Police are searching for the driver who struck and killed a man on Merrick Road in Lynbrook.
The incident happened near the McDonald's around 9 p.m. Thursday.
Police say the driver hit the unidentified man then took off heading east, leaving the man to die in the street.
Police hope to get surveillance video from local stores today as they try to find the driver.
