Two cars collided Sunday morning in Ridge, but one driver took off and wound up crashing elsewhere.
Police say the male driver of a sedan first hit another car on Middle Country Road in Ridge and fled the scene. A short time later, that driver crashed into a tree in Wading River.
He was treated for internal injuries.
The driver of the car hit in Ridge was not hurt.
There was no word on whether any charges were filed.
