Driver accused in hit-and-run that killed Westhampton Beach native Cory Hubbard surrenders to police

The driver accused of hitting and killing a college student from Westhampton has surrendered to police. Cory Hubbard, 22, was run down by a driver in College Park, Maryland around 1:30 a.m. on Friday.

The driver accused of hitting and killing a college student from Westhampton has surrendered to police.

Cory Hubbard, 22, was run down by a driver in College Park, Maryland around 1:30 a.m. on Friday. Police say Hubbard was crossing Baltimore Avenue when he was struck.

Hubbard, who was a student at the University of Maryland, later died at the hospital.

Hubbard graduated from Westhampton Beach High School in 2010, where he played football.
