People rallied at the Wantagh train station Saturday afternoon to condemn Wednesday's riot at the Capitol in Washington, D.C. and to call for President Donald Trump's impeachment.
Dozens called for equality and peace. Across the street from the rally, a counter protest with Trump supporters was held.
A Trump supporter tells News 12 they were there to peacefully protest. Democratic Rep. Tom Suozzi, of Glen Cove, says he was in the Capitol building during the riot - and blames Trump for it taking place.
Wantagh rally organizer Terrel Tuosto hopes his group's message is heard.
Republican Rep. Lee Zeldin says he condemns the violence at the Capitol, but believes impeachment is a bad idea and would not heal and unite the country.
