Nassau County hosted its first ever "Water Bark" event Sunday to let local dogs have some fun.
The county's splash parks have been closed to people since Tuesday, but three of them reopened Sunday just for dogs.
Many dog owners say the park made the water fun for their pooch.
The event was held in collaboration with North Shore Animal League America.
The organization's mobile adoption unit was on site to allow attendees to meet adoptable local dogs.
