Firefighters rescued a black lab that fell into an uncovered hole Sunday night and couldn't get back out.Authorities say the incident occurred at around 9 p.m. in the backyard of a home on St. Johnland Road in Kings Park. Suffolk police say the 14-year-old dog fell 8 feet down a recently dug cesspool.Firefighters dug a parallel hole and reinforced it to prevent dirt from collapsing on the dog. According to firefighters, their rescue unit was able to get the dog out about two hours later.
