Doctors say respiratory viruses are continuing to circulate, creating a big challenge for hospitals.
"It's a smorgasbord of viruses and the problem is – as soon as you get one and you feel a little better, you…hang out with your friends – boom, you get the second one," says Dr. Sharon Nachman of Stony Brook Children's Hospital.
She says it's a good time for anyone who hasn't to get vaccinated against the flu and COVID-19.
Dr. Nachman says she is concerned that there will be a lot more COVID-19 variants coming out of China as the nation opens their borders and patients who never had the virus are getting it.
On Wednesday, the Biden administration announced that travelers coming from China to the U.S. will need to show a negative COVID test.
Nachman says it's not known if the variants will be worse because the bivalent vaccine does contain the ability to make antibodies to Omicron.
On a positive note, the doctor says cases of RSV is on the decline.
