Dr. Blanka Kaplan, of Cohen Children’s Medical Center, says to expect a shorter but more intense allergy season this year.
She says the milder winter followed by extreme cold and plenty of moisture has created the potential for lots of pollen in the air.
Allergy symptoms include sneezing, itchy eyes and coughing.
Kaplan says those who suffer from allergies should stock up on over-the-counter medications.
