Freeport High School teens put together a musical to teach peers about the consequences of destructive decisions.
The play is called Project Impact. It was written by senior Daniel Walker and some of his classmates.
The concept was created by teachers and staff. It was built around the scenario of a student who went to a party, took drugs, drove after drinking and killed a friend.
Freeport's homecoming king and scholar-athlete Christian Rodriguez played the student who made the wrong decision.
In addition to the program, the school district has placed a destroyed vehicle in front of the school building to remind students not to make destructive decisions.
