A homeless Hurricane Sandy victim was refused shelter at a Long Beach motel, and she says it's because she is disabled.

Deborah Robinson says that she received a voucher for 12 days of emergency housing from the Nassau Department of Social Services to stay at the Plantation Motel in Island Park. Since Robinson walks with a cane after suffering a stroke, she requested a first-floor room as she cannot climb stairs.

Robinson says she was told by the motel that they "do not house the handicapped."

The motel manager refused to comment.

Robinson's attorney has already requested an investigation from the Nassau DA's office as well as the county comptroller.

Nassau DSS says that it has already found handicapped-accessible housing for Robinson.
