‘Dink for Pink.’ Dix Hills pickleball event raises funds for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The event was created to raise awareness and honor Renee Otis, the mother of a PopUp Pickleball cofounder who died from the disease.

PopUp Pickleball raised awareness about breast cancer Tuesday during its fourth annual “Dink for Pink” charity event in Dix Hills.

Organizers say all proceeds from the event will go to the Huntington Breast Cancer Coalition’s “Prevention is the Cure” campaign.

The event was also created to honor Renee Otis, the mother of a PopUp Pickleball cofounder who died from the disease.
