Some Long Islanders are putting on their boxing gloves and stepping into the ring for charity.
More than a dozen volunteer boxers, who are local business men and women, are taking part in the 16th annual Fight for Charity.
Thursday, they met with Long Islanders with special needs who will benefit from the fundraiser.
Over the years, the event has raised more than $1.4 million for local charities.
This year's fight will take place in November.
