The name of the victim is being withheld pending positive identification. There was no one else in the home at the time of the fire and no other injuries were reported.

Detectives: Woman killed in Patchogue apartment fire
A woman was killed in a Patchogue fire Wednesday, detectives say.
Fifth Precinct officers and members of the Patchogue Fire Department responded to 75 Rider Ave. after a 911 caller reported an apartment fire at around 6:15 p.m.
When the fire was put out, a woman's body was located in the residence.
Three apartments were also damaged in the fire.
The name of the victim is being withheld pending positive identification. There was no one else in the home at the time of the fire and no other injuries were reported.
A preliminary investigation determined the cause of the fire to be non-criminal in nature.
