5h agoA Bay Shore man injured an officer in Massapequa while trying to flee from police, detectives say.
They say officers pulled over Dennis Zvonik for speeding on Sunrise Highway Thursday around 8 p.m.
News 12 is told Zvonik, 43, attempted to run away, but was stopped.
Officials say there was a struggle and an officer suffered cuts and bruises.
Police say a woman and Zvonik's 12-year-old son were in the car when the incident occurred.
