A 43-year-old man fatally shot his dog after the animal attacked him at Christopher Morley Park, detectives say.
They say the Belgium Dutch Shepherd was off its leash in North Hills when it attacked its owner at around 2:30 p.m.
The man fired one round at the dog, killing it.
The owner suffered cuts to his arm and leg. He was transported to a hospital for treatment and evaluation.
