Detectives: Great Neck woman scammed out of thousands of dollars

The woman was told to deliver $25,000 to a coin hub ATM to reverse a fraudulent charge.

Nassau County detectives say a Great Neck woman was scammed out of thousands of dollars.
They say the 82-year-old victim received a call from someone claiming to be an employee from the Chase Fraudulent Department.
The woman was told to deliver $25,000 to a coin hub ATM to reverse a fraudulent charge. Once the transfer was completed, the woman was asked to withdraw $39,000.
The woman then became suspicious and called police.
An investigation is ongoing.
