The Long Island Rail Road is back on track this afternoon after several problems caused a headache for riders.
A diesel train broke down at the Islip train station due to equipment problems. The problem caused at least two trains to be canceled on the Montauk branch.
Buses are now running between Patchogue and Babylon until the problem is fixed.
Earlier this morning, there were 20-minute westbound delays on the Ronkonkoma Branch west of Hicksville due to a disabled vehicle on the tracks near the Pinelawn station.
There were also delays on the Oyster Bay and Port Jeff branches that have cleared up.
