A Deer Park woman pleaded guilty to killing her ex-boyfriend’s mother and attempting to kill him over a disagreement about a lease.
The incident happened Dec. 23, 2021 on Smith Street.
Prosecutors say Shaquela Titley first fatally stabbed 85-year-old Marie Mille. They say Titley then waited for her ex-boyfriend to return home before stabbing him multiple times.
Titley was apparently angry that the lease for the apartment she rented inside the house was not going to be renewed.
Titley is expected to get 30 years in prison when she is sentenced in October.
