Deer Park High School has given a giant thumbs down to the annual student variety show.The show's second performance was scheduled to be Saturday, but administrators canceled it after Friday's initial performance. The school's principal, Nanine Cuttitta, posted a message on the school's Web site that said the show was pulled "due to gross inappropriate language and content in some of the acts." Cuttitta also said the performance was not reflective of the staff and students at the school.One parent said the show opened with several of the show's emcees being killed in a comical way. Students said the principal approved the script ahead of time.Students said the show must go on and are planning to protest at the school district's offices where a school board meeting will be held Tuesday.
