Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced this morning the state's tax plan for 2014.
Cuomo called the plan the essence of his economic plan.
Cuomo stated increased tax relief is a big part of the new year plan.
Cuomo also said other plans include simplifying the state tax code as well as making the state more economically competitive.
Cuomo is set to give his annual State of the State address in two days.
