Crews rushed to the scene of an apartment fire early Sunday morning in Wakefield, according to officials.

Authorities say the flames erupted at 1043 East 233rd St. shortly after 3 a.m.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames an hour later.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
