Crescent Duck Farm in Aquebogue has reopened nearly two years after a bird flu outbreak forced the business to shut down.

The outbreak in Jan. 2025 wiped out all 99,000 birds in the flock and led to many employee layoffs.

Owner Doug Corwin tells News 12 that the farm is almost back to full production now.

He says the farm had to undergo quarantines, disinfections, USDA tests and hatch a new generation of ducklings offsite.
