State police say a motorcyclist was killed in a crash on the Southern State Parkway in North Merrick early Friday morning.

The motorcyclist, identified as Bryan Rubio, 25, of Bay Shore. was traveling westbound around 2:30 a.m. when they were involved in a collision with two other vehicles, according to police.

Rubio was pronounced dead at the scene. The other vehicle operators and occupants were treated for minor injuries.

The westbound lanes of the Southern State Parkway were closed for hours due to the investigation.

State police are asking any witnesses with information to call 631-756-3300.
