A woman had to be airlifted to the hospital after a crash on Route 110 in Melville Wednesday.
According to Newsday, the crash happened around 8 p.m. when a Nissan Altima struck a tree southbound between Spagnoli and Ruland roads.
Fire officials say the unidentified woman was a passenger and suffered serious injuries.
The unidentified male driver suffered minor injuries.
