The Cradle of Aviation Museum's Hanger 5 collection is getting a new addition.
Apollo astronauts unveiled the museum's restoration work on the F-14-D Tomcat Jet.
It is part of the museum's "Project Apollo" panels with multiple NASA astronauts.
"It's fully restored to its original condition as the last time it flew," says Cradle of Aviation Museum President Andrew Parton. "And it's going to be mounted at the foot of the driveway next spring."
The Tomcat was originally parked outside the former Grumman officers in Bethpage before coming to the museum back in June.
