Two months ago we met a Long Island mom who survived COVID-19, and then became a COVID warrior.

Diana Berrent started a Facebook group for coronavirus survivors called Survivor Corps. The group connects other COVID-19 survivors in a community where scientific and academic research is shared.

Survivors also get information on how, and where to donate convalescent plasma for an experimental therapy to treat other COVID-19 patients.

This morning, News 12's Elizabeth Hashagen was joined by Barrent and Scott Cohen, a Bellmore, New York man who received plasma, and says Barrent saved his life.
