The Nassau County Police Benevolent Association is accusing the county’s police department of not properly staffing special events recently.
According to court documents, it includes President-elect Donald Trump’s rally at the Coliseum.
The PBA claims the department was aware of potential crowd sizes prior to these events and despite requests for appropriate police presence, they were not properly staffed.
Trump supporters packed the 16,000-seat venue in September.
The union claims they did not have appropriate staff for Steve Aoki’s concert at Eisenhower Park.
News 12 reached out to Nassau County for comment and are waiting to hear back.
