Susantha Rajapaksha, of Coram, was still in shock Monday after his native Sri Lanka was rocked by a series of Easter hotel and church bombings. He says the island nation has lived in peace since a civil war ended a decade ago.
Rajapaksha says he was at home when he heard about the attacks, but it took him a couple of hours to get in touch with loved ones there. His wife's family lives in the area where the bombs went off.
Rajapaksha's brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, niece and nephew are all OK. But he says the tourism industry and Sri Lankans’ way of life are irreparably damaged.
