Police on Long Island say they are ramping up security at houses of worship in the wake of the bombings in Sri Lanka.

The bomb blasts rocked churches and luxury hotels on Easter Sunday, leaving more than 200 dead - including two Americans - and hundreds more wounded.

At this point, no specific threat has been made against the area, but Nassau Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder says there's a chance that a lone wolf or a copycat could be out there.

"This is the holiest time of the year, with Easter, Passover and Ramadan coming next week. Our intelligence has been working hard to make sure we have the proper intelligence, working with our partners to make sure there's security in place, so those who go to pray can pray in peace," he says.

The commissioner says security is being stepped up not only at churches, but at all houses of worship, and even hotels.
