Coram man allegedly killed pedestrian while driving drunk in Melville

Police tell News 12 that Shane Decamp, 48, was driving south on Broadhollow Road near the Long Island Expressway when he hit someone crossing the road.

A Coram man is accused of driving drunk and killing a pedestrian in Melville Friday.
Police tell News 12 that Shane Decamp, 48, was driving south on Broadhollow Road near the Long Island Expressway when he hit someone crossing the road.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Their name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Decamp is expected to be arraigned at some point today.
