Police say they have found the man who approached two girls in Cold Spring Harbor Wednesday.

According to police, the man offered one girl a piece of gum and told the other she had a nice smile. Despite the fears parents had about the man being a possible child predator, police say the man did not commit a crime. However, they have advised the newspaper delivery man to stop talking to kids in the area.

The reports of the man talking to the girls had police and parents in the area on the lookout for the man's blue PT Cruiser. Parents had been urged by police to accompany their children to and from bus stops Wednesday.
