Police Wednesday arrested the gunman who allegedly shot a small boy in the eye during an East Rockaway home invasion weeks ago.
Cops say three men, at least two of whom were armed, broke into the home in a robbery attempt. A shootout ensued between the homeowner, a licensed gun owner, and the burglars. A 9-year-old boy who lived at the residence was caught in the crossfire and shot in the eye. The boy lost the eye and became partially paralyzed.
Police arrested Raseed Watson, of New Jersey, in connection with the shooting. They say he fired the shot that injured the boy. A second suspect has already been apprehended, but the search continues for the third assailant.
