Art students from Herricks School District are hanging up their pictures inside stores that are struggling because of the economy.
The students replaced "for rent" signs with works of art, an idea that business owners on Hillside Avenue feel is improving the look of the neighborhood.
The students will also be displaying their artwork during a show at Clark Botanical Gardens in June.
