The Home Show at Suffolk County Community College came to a close Sunday with the slumping economy on everyone?s mind.
Companies such as Above All Fence in East Islip say consumers have been cautious with spending, so they?ve slashed prices to entice customers and stay competitive.
?Our prices have come down ? it?s definitely a shoppers market,? says Shane O'Neill, of Above All Fence.
Dave Ciprios of Sun Power Systems in Oakdale believes business will turn around - especially now that President Barack Obama?s stimulus package passed.
?Solar electric has never been as affordable today,? says Ciprios. ?A system that had a $30,000 cost a year ago is now [$10,000].?
