Employees of a Levittown company that gathered hundreds of toys to be donated for Christmas say Toys for Tots did not pick up the gifts in time for the holiday.
The toys were still sitting in the lobby of United Northern Mortgage Bankers as of Wednesday night.
Company president Don Giorgio says they arranged for the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program to pick up the roughly 300 collected toys, but no one showed up.
A Toys for Tots spokesperson did not provide an answer as to exactly what happened but said they collect toys year-round.
In response to News 12's story, Gail Young, of United Northern Mortgage Bankers, received a call from a Marine with Toys for Tots who said someone would pick up the donations on Thursday.
Young says the volunteer told her that they're still giving out toys to kids this holiday season.
