Commack native Rosie O'Donnell's announced Wednesday that her rocky stay as a member of ABC's "The View" is coming to an end.
O'Donnell said she'll leave the program in June because she and the network couldn't agree on a new contract. The network wanted her for three more years, O'Donnell said, while the outspoken host eyed just one additional season.
Ratings rose throughout O'Donnell's tenure on the all-female panel. She grabbed tabloid headlines for calling talk-show host Kelly Ripa homophobic, chastising News Corp.'s Rupert Murdoch and, most memorably, her frenzy with Donald Trump.
"The View" founder Barbara Walters said she did not play a role in the decision.
