The Commack School District reversed its decision Tuesday night on mask mandates in the classroom.
The district had said it was lifting the mask mandate for kids sitting in the classroom and in physical education, but hours later reversed its decision.
A robocall was sent out to parents by the superintendent stating that after pressure from the governor's office masks will still be required in school.
Mask inspectors from the state will be sent to check on the district's compliance.
