Residents from across Long Island descended on Huntington Sunday to take part in the Columbus Day Parade.
"This day means we are honoring the man - not the weekend, not the holiday, not the sales," says John Laruccia, of Sea Cliff. "We're honoring Christopher Columbus."
The Sons of Italy hosted the annual event.
