A wet start to the weekend is following a washed-out end to the work week, with a chance for localized flooding in some areas.
On and off showers are set to continue through Saturday morning, with a round of potentially heavy precipitation arriving overnight out east.
Suffolk is expected to get hit with the strongest rain, with a wall of showers hitting overnight.
Rain totals through 8 a.m. Saturday are expected to be between 1-2 inches by the time the weather system moves out.
Rain showers will begin to taper off from west to east at 7 a.m. and completely ending by 9 a.m.
