Co-op City?s private police department and lobby attendants strike ended Sunday at midnight. The employees walked off the job on March 15 after contract negotiations broke down. The officers hit the picket line because their union and Riverbay Corporation were at odds over pensions benefits and staffing levels. Both sides say they have now reached an agreement. The Riverbay Corporation has offered the union a four year contact with a 3 percent raise each year for the next three years.In a statement, the Riverbay Corporation and the board of directors say they are happy to welcome back the workers. They also thanked the police commissioner, the mayor, the borough president, local elected officials and the support of the NYPD during the strike.
