The Cinema Arts Centre in Huntington is helping disabled patrons experience movies in a whole new way.
The theater just unveiled special glasses that display film subtitles for the hearing-impaired and new headphones that give vision-impaired viewers a running commentary of what's happening on screen.
The system cost about $15,000.
The new technology comes courtesy of a grant from the Long Island Community Foundation and a private donation.
